Marjorie Rose Lalanne, widely known as Mama Rose, is a respected Haitian Vodou priestess and spiritual leader. She began practicing Vodou at the age of 17 in Haiti and later emigrated to the United States during the Duvalier regime.

After settling in the U.S., Mama Rose initially offered spiritual readings from her home to local community members. Her growing reputation and clientele eventually led her to open her first successful botanica, marking the beginning of a decades-long career in spiritual service.

With over several decades of experience, Mama Rose is highly regarded for her work in love matters, spiritual protection, business guidance, and cleansing rituals. Her deep knowledge, cultural authenticity, and dedication to Vodou traditions have earned her widespread respect within the Haitian and broader spiritual communities.

In 2010, Mama Rose gained national recognition after appearing alongside Tori Spelling on the Oxygen Network’s reality television series Tori & Dean.

Today, Mama Rose continues to practice and remains a prominent and influential spiritual leader, playing a vital role in the preservation and practice of Haitian Vodou in the United States.
